Modeled this as a gift for my nephew, who is a toddler at the time when this was modeled. The idea was to introduce him to gear ratios and mechanical advantage.
I made a simple hot wire cutter using some nichrome wire and a lab power supply. I intend the use this to cut XPS foam for the wing profiles on the Filoplane (see below).
A customer needed a quick way of fastening rubber bands on thin steel rods from a distance using the girth hitch. I came up with a scissor-like device that solved this problem. Check out the video to see how the prototype worked.
In order to test the power and performance of an electric motor I built this simple dynamometer. The basic idea is to use the motor to accelerate a large flywheel. The data from the anglar acceleration of the flywheel is collected using an arduino. This data can be used to find out the torque and power at various RPMs. This device will also be used to find the efficiency of the motor.
This is still an ongoing project. The goal is to build a simple full scale ultra light electric airplane. The reason behind this is to increase my understanding of fluid dynamics, electrical engineering and light weight composite structures and most importantly, because it is really fun.

The aim of the master thesis was to develop a concept for more silent propulsion of small UAVs. With the help of CFD a number of concept were created. One of the concepts were chosen for further development. This was a conventional propeller with a novel method for passively reducing flow separation on the airfoils upper surface. The Backpack Crane was a project that we did at KTH. The objective was to come up with a solution to make it possible for construction workers to quickly and afforably lift up material to roofs for small fixes.
In order to make sure that the laser beam in my 50 W laser cutter hits the mirrors in the center, one needs to adjust the position of the laser tube. To do this on the stock machine is very inconvient, since one needs to loosen a number of bolts, it's also not very rigid. During the end of 2015, I made my own 3D-printed writing "automaton". The basic principle was a sliding box with three tracks, for controlling the movement of a pen in the x, y and z axis.
In the summer of 2015, I participated in a competition on Thingiverse, where I designed a boat that used kinetic energy from water to wave the arms of a 3D-printed man (3D-scan of myself). Christmas 2014 I got a 3D printer from my parents. One of the first things I printed was a dish washer that I had designed in Solidworks. Nyteknik and 3D-print.com among others, wrote articles about it. Easy Allen, In the fall of 2014, my and some friends at Örebro University developed a product that would work on several different hexagonal dimensions at once. We also made a 3D-printed working prototype.

In the summer of 2012, I decided to build a cube-shaped solar-powered hot air balloon. The balloon was made up of a number of black garbage bags joined with masking tape. The idea was that air inside the balloon would be heated by the sun's rays, which would be absorbed by the black garbage bags, thus causing the balloon to rise. After several failed attempts I finally got the balloon to lift, since I have not seen the glimpse of it.
